Exciting news for 2014, the Grape Night In girls are back with a bang. Sunday Skool is a 6 week course introducing you to wine and concentrating around 20 key grape varieties. Tickets are available at Edible Experiences.
Our Spring Cocktail Menu planning is also well underway. Fast becoming one of our favourite seasons to create drinks for, we’re looking towards The Orient for flavour inspirations, as well as using some familiar friends from the U.S and are on the hunt for some innovative drinking vessels! As per tradition we’d love for you to vote for the cocktail that will remain from our Winter Menu so see the poll below!
With summer seemingly underway we’ll be shifting our cocktails, as has become tradition, over the next few weeks. Some exciting new flavours and spirits have given us a wealth of ideas and we’re in the process of whittling down to our usual ten drinks! Find below a few snaps of our new drinks as well as the all important vote for which cocktails stays on the menu!
Continuing the theme of a bottled infused cocktail from our ‘Mother’s Ruin’ we’ll be creating a Rooibos Tea infused ‘Negroni’. Using Aperol, in place of the traditional Campari, and infusing Boxer Gin with Rooibos Tea, a non-caffeine, high antioxidant tea, means health benefits and a great £5 summer cooler. The drink will be bottled, capped and left to infuse until the moment it’s opened. A great combination of Vanilla, Juniper and Orange.
Sticking with the Tea theme is the Peach Teatini made up of Early Grey Tea, Honey infused Whisky and Peach. A great balance of flavours, sweet and bitter, giving a fresh, peach iced tea style martini for those long summer afternoons.
Our second martini has an Oriental / Peruvian twist to it, fresh Shiso leaf with Kiwi and Pisco. We’ve used the Shiso leaf for the first time and it’s flavour has brought about some great ideas. The Shiso and kiwi giving a sharpness against the easy drinking Pisco.
Another Summer refresher is the Burnt Pineapple Caiprioska. Vodka infused with Burnt Pineapple, mixed with Pineapple Juice, Peach Bitters and Demerara Sugar. Unbelievable that it’s the first Caiprioska on the menu after 1.5 years!
The final one for now is our Pulp Fiction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qOvaBKugT8) inspired $5 Shake, although we’ll have Bourbon in ours along with Butterscotch Syrup, Peanut Butter, Ice and Squirty Cream!
